About Modern Batik Art
Modern Batik Art is a revolutionary art technique for producing images and detailed design on fabric. This art form has elevated a basic craft to fine art status. While still using the traditional wax and dye method, it incorporates several new techniques that provide exceptional flexibility to any professional or recreational artist’s work.
About Instructor David Kibuuka
The workshops’ artistic director/instructor is renowned Modern Batik artist, David Kibuuka; co-creator of the Modern Batik Art technique. Over the past 20 years David has owned and operated successful art galleries in Toronto and Santa Monica (California). His workshops for adults and youths are popular in North America, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean. Modern Batik Art enhances the creative process, whether you are pursuing a professional career or a form of recreation.
